Latest News & Events

With the latest announcement from Scottish Government regarding pandemic restrictions there are no inperson worship services on 10th January 2021 in St John's until further notice.  However we continue our worship services online. The services will be broadcast through St John's YouTube channel. Remember to hit the 'subscribe' button to find the channel again easily - it's free! The liturgy for service can be found here.

In addition, Wednesday's Drop In for Soul Time will continue to be available again through St John's YouTube channel (see above). The Services setion of the website provides further details. All are very welcome.

St John's worked together with Angus Creative Minds and Angus Health & Social Care Partnership to create a video remembering people who have died. Those contributing expressed their thoughts in word and voice and local artists interpreted those in artwork which was put together into a film. This can be viewed here . A group then met by video-conference to view the film and discuss their reactions. The event was a great success and one we intend to repeat in 2021.

The Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC) is broadcasting video coverage of Sunday 11am Eucharistic services via its website, social media channels and YouTube channel.  The web page for the broadcast is located at www.scotland.anglican.org/broadcast-sunday-worship .

Please light a candle in your window at 7.00pm every Sunday with the prayer which can be found in the Services tab on this website for as long as the present situation continues, as a sign of Christ’s light for all who need it.

The College of Bishops is designating 2021 as a Provincial Year of Pilgrimage. For further information, click here.
